Title: Kenneth Lowenberg, O Praise Ye the Lord
(Hope Publishing Company, #8458), $9.95.

Mr. Lowenberg has written an effective set of variations on the well-known hymn tune by
C. Hubert H. Parry, Laudate Dominum. The piece can be played straight through or with different variations used for the prelude or postlude. Timings are provided for each variation, which is helpful for service planning.
General registrations are given which can easily be adapted to any instrument. An alternate harmonization is provided with the “Introduction,” which is quite effective and contrasts with the alternate harmonization in The Hymnal 1982. This would be a great piece to demonstrate an organ in a recital, in addition to its service potential.

"You were amazing yesterday.  Your hymns were just so creative - and leading…the congregation strongly and sensitively, with amazingly creative registration.  [P]ieces…were beautifully chosen and performed.  Thank you for your artistry - a real example for us all of how do "do it right"!  You played like you totally OWNED the organ and it was a joy to be in the congregation!"

-Eileen Morris Guenther, DMA, Prof. of Church Music, Wesley Theological Seminary, and former National President, American Guild of Organists.

“The music on Sunday night was fantastic.  Hymns were exciting and other music was very enjoyable.”
